News

Right now, as you read this, there are millions of people out there looking for jobs.  Maybe you are one of them?

On July 6th, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics released some very interesting breakdowns of the unemployment rate.  Some of the facts that they presented:

1.  12.6% unemployment rate for those without a high school diploma

2. 8.4% unemployment for those with a high school diploma but no college

3. 7.5% unemployment for those with some college or an associate degree

4. 4.1% unemployment for those with a bachelor’s degree or higher

Why does this matter?  Many of these positions that are open right now require some sort of training or education.

Does it have to be a 4 year degree?  NO, there are jobs out there that DO NOT NEED a 4 year degree (although it never hurts)

The first step is completing your high school education or GED (we can help you find a way).  As you can see, this drastically reduces your chances of being unemployed.   Then figure out what what you want to do and how you can become the most marketable in that area.   Is it an associates degree, a certificate or maybe a 4 year degree in a particular major?  It may even simply be a few classes that set you aside from your peers and give you that leg up.
