Whether he’s on two wheels or four, racing his way downhill, in the sand, or on asphalt, 26-year-old Justin Lofton is a diverse and talented race car driver with an impressive resume to his credit. From an early age he got the racing itch, maneuvering a mountain bike downhill in his native California. However, Lofton’s days on two wheels ended in May of 2002 after suffering a broken femur. He was sidelined from racing for over a year, and underwent 11 reconstructive surgeries before redirecting his career, opting for four tires and a roll cage.

He first transitioned to the Colorado Hill Climb Association before following in his father’s footsteps by racing an off-road machine in the Best in the Desert (BITD) Racing Association in 2004. He quickly found success within class 1000 competition, earning three race wins and the Rookie of the Year nod.

After dabbling in late models, the 24 Hours at Daytona, and the K&N Pro Series West, Lofton decided to join Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR) in the ARCA Racing Series in 2008. After just eight races in ARCA, Lofton scored his first series win. The following season in 2009, Lofton and ESR earned the championship by dominating the series with six race wins, five pole awards, 15 top-five and 19 top-10 finishes.

In 2010 Lofton moved full-time to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) competition. He impressed many during his rookie drive, earning a best finish of third, four top-fives and eight top-10s. In 2011 Lofton added three more top-10s to his truck stats and led his first competitive laps of NASCAR competition. During the NASCAR off season he returned to his off-road racing roots in BITD in a class 1500 unlimited buggy. He dominated the event and ended the race with over a 13-minute lead over the rest of the competition.

In 2012 Justin will compete in the full NCWTS schedule in the No. 6 CollegeComplete.com Chevrolet Silverado for ESR, as well as run a six race schedule within BITD in a class 1500 unlimited buggy.
